Replacement Steering Wheel Advice
One of the conditions that SWMBO stipulated when we picked out Lilly, her 300D, was that the steering wheel would be replaced by one with a smaller outside diameter. At 6' 2", even with the seat moved all the way aft she has a tough time getting her right leg under the wheel. The recent ACL surgery did nothing to improve matters either.
I'd like to hear from Forumites that have replaced their stock MBZ steering wheels. What wheels worked, weren't outrageously expensive and where did you buy it/them? Thanks all! R Leo

I can't be certain but I think any of the W124/202's steering wheel would fit on the W123. You'd have to find an airbag for them though just to cover up the missing horn (airbag)

I don't know if any of the W124's steering wheels will fit your car, or not, but the early W124 steering wheels (1986-1991) have a larger diameter than 1992-1995 steering wheels. Since your car has no airbag, this wouldn't be a problem either as you'll just leave it out.
Also, if you really want a smaller diameter steering wheel, the Sportline steering wheels are even smaller diameter. If you're looking for a used steering wheel contact Potomac Pat. He works at a Mercedes Recycling facility.
