Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know I previously increased the full load delivery a bit. I think one more overall increase is still called for, but I want to avoid black smoke

Hello,
I cant just turn the 24mm ccw while holding the 27mm nut.
They just turn together!

Is there any problem to remove as a whole?

That nut MUST be freed up in order to remove the ALDA. Have you tried penetrating oil and letting it sit for a few days? What tools are you using? Use two thin 24mm and 27mm wrenches (i.e. no channel locks). Position them in such a way that, by squeezing them together, you free up the nut.

It seems the nuts are glued

Try something more heavy duty than WD40. They can be very hard to get apart...but they eventually will. Perhaps some heat and/or impact will be needed.

I don't have a lot of experience with the heat part...I'll leave it to others to comment. But as far as hitting is concerned....see if there's some way you can have one wrench rigidly held in place and than hit the other wrench with a hammer to try to break the nut free.

On one car, I found what appeared to be threadlock on the nut. It was VERY difficult to remove the ALDA, had to use wrenches all the way out... could not break free with wrenches and then spin off with fingers. Cleaned the threads while it was apart and it spun back on easily, but was miserable to remove... sorry yours is stuck...

That top nut is part of the alda I took the one on my 603 off yesterday and held the top of the alda with a big pair of channel locks sure made a diff the way it runs now also if the waste gate is still working that will protect the engine from over boost the same way it works on the Dodge Ram mine is set at 15 psi. Hope that helps.

I finally had time and removed Alda, i adjusted 1.5ccw. Now the car wont shutdown!
Is it related, or just the shutoff valve went bad?

You probably knocked the vacuum line off the shutoff pod, or damaged one of the tubes / hoses. Check all the vac connections to the shutoff. The ALDA itself has nothing to do with the shutoff function.
