resurrecting self-leveling on my 300TDT

HELLO DIESEL LORDS!

my ride is originally a 230TE in which the previous owner did an engine swap using a 300 D Turbo engine what I want to know is if I can still resurrect the self leveling hydraulics, because one of the mechanics said that there's no way I can do that because my engine is for a sedan is there some truth to this?

thanks,

joseph c.

True — TD Engine is Unique

The integral, engine-driven hydraulic pump for the SLS (self-leveling system) is the difference; it is not in the sedan engine.

However, many on this forum would be interested in knowing what was done to your kombi to make it roadworthy without having a functioning SLS pump.

We'd also like to see pictures of your (ex) gasser wagon too!!
