Need help from 1983 300SD owner
I am having electricla problems and need help to figure out the proper relays. A cool memeber of the forum and I spent about 1 hour trying to figure it out. Heowns a 1984 300SD and the fuse box is different.
The help I need is to compare the relays (of which I have 7), the part number and their location. I am suspect of the 2 closeset to the firewall. It seems there is a good chance that one of those 2 are suspose to be overlaod protection and have a American style fuse at the top. Thanks for any help Don

Standing in front of the car and facing the fuse box, the relay layout in 1983 is as follows:
Front row left - seats Front row right - aux fan 2nd row left - seats 2nd row right - windows 3rd row left - OVP or EGR - think its missing on the SD, no relay 3rd row right - a/c compressor timer Rear row left - rear window defogger timer and sliding roof Rear row right - wiper/washer You can alwatys confirm function by pulling the related relay to see if the related equipment fucntionality changes. |
