anyone need a 240D manual tranny?

hey guys.

the shop i work at has a 240D manual in the yard that is going to the junk yard within the next week. i have been hearing about lots of people doing a conversion here, and am wondering if anyone needs a transmission/clutch/driveshaft.

I could take a day to pull it out, but I have to act quickly as the car is getting junked within the next week.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

(sorry if this kinda belongs is classifieds, but i figured all diesel heads who want to do a conversion are on this part of the board)

I don't see a problem with it being here.. .. but place it in the classifieds ALSO....
Sometimes a person , for instance one who lives near you where the shipping would not be horrendous.. might not be LOOKING... but if the chance came for a bargain they would be interested... that is why I think posting here is a good deal also...

Also, since we have EDIT functions... you can delete it when it is no longer Current info...

For the record..... when the first post in a thread is deleted... it DELETES THE ENTIRE THREAD....

UPS Ground wouldn't be all that expensive...mebby $100 tops.

Do you know what year model this car is? How much do you want for it and the work to pull it?

I don't need the driveshaft but I'd for sure need the following:

transmission/bellhousing
adapter plate
rear transmission support crossmember
pedal assy
shifter and shifter rods,
flywheel and bolts
clutch disk
pressure plate.
+ all the associated fasteners (bellhousing bolts, etc)

Thanx,
R

Randy, you got that stuff with the trans you pulled from the yard just weeks ago...
Have we seen the developement of a manual trans hoarder ? I think Dr. Phil will be able to treat this pretty fast....but I fear the publicity will cause more people to be aware of the manual trans gold out there.... and raise the price....
I will attempt intervention locally first though.....

Greg you dope! Of course I have all that stuff with the first tranny. But, if I get another car, and put a manual in it, I'll need all the manual trinkets for that installation as well.

Dont' forget the Toad!

Just got to say, you guys are hilarious!

Don't suppose the car has the manual climate controls does it?
