Read the feedback that the new owner left at my ebay. He was glad to get the car. Hopefully, he will join up on mercedesshop.com soon.

I think engatwork was very lucky to get such a high bid for a 240D with ~ 150 Kmiles. Based on the descriptions and pics, I do believe it's a very pampered car, but being to sell a 240D with ~ 150 Kmiles for $4100 on Ebay is something I had never seen before.

I think Ebays fee's are way out of line for selling cars. There should be a "sliding scale" for cars or anything else that has such a variable value. I sold some utility trailers through Ebay and they go under the same listing as cars!!! Imagine paying $80 to Ebay when the profit on the item averages $150. That said I have bought many items on Ebay, including my MB. I have also bought many items listed on Ebay by contacting the seller after the item either didn't sell or the winner backed out. Yeah, it ain't kosher but they are making plenty of money so I don't really give a rip. When I complained to them about the fee structure all I got was lip service. Autotrader works really well for both national as well as focused searches if you know what you are looking for and where to look. My 2cents.... RT

Eric - you are in a different market than the people on this side of the continent. Unfortunately, relatively low mileage W123/126 diesel MB's in pretty much showroom condition with all records are few and far between out here.

Cars like these are worth what the people buying will pay.

I'm working on that last statement right now. I hope someone will be willing to pay a lot for this one too. I'm under the impression that it will be quite likely the car to go for less there than it would locally if I could find someone to buy it. In any case I'll be trying to sell it locally at the same time.

Good looking ebay ad Boostn. You should do good with it on ebay. Is there any rust? I have a friend looking for one for his daughter right now.

Thanks. There was a some rust, one spot in front of each front wheel and a couple under some trim, but I cleaned it up figuring it was worth while as everyone wants to know this.
