Unhappy Flasher Location...Once and For All

Using the search, I can't seem to definitively nail down the location for the turn signal flashers on an '84 300D.

It is either 1) under the center wood console, 2) behind the instrument cluster, or 3) under the hood near the brake booster.

Can someone tell me which one it is? I'm talking about the turn signal flasher RELAY.

TIA

Flasher:

Dear once and for all:
On a 84D and a 85CD the emergency flasher is under the wood console just above the shifter. It is black and you can trace the wire's to the red flasher switch.

P.S. The reason I stated my cars is. The Germans like to move things around. Next time tell us what car the question is for. We have a lot of model diesels.

Thanks for your help. Are you saying the emergency flasher is the same as the turn signal flasher? Note that I did not mention emergency flasher, but if they're one and the same, OK then.

"P.S. The reason I stated my cars is. The Germans like to move things around. Next time tell us what car the question is for. We have a lot of model diesels."

I'm sorry, I thought I stated my model and year. Additionally, it's in my sig.

Right you are sir:

Sorry did't see car info. Blind, need dog!
I beleive the relay I mentioned is for Emergency Flashers.
I don't know where the turn signal rely is.
Hopefully we can both learn.
Sorry for mistake.
