the trim near the glove box on the passenger side near the door is popping out....

what adhesive should I try?

any special prepping that I need to do?

I used 3M Trim Adhesive. It does not dry rock hard and can be removed if nessisary.

What you need to do is take some duct tape, double fold it, and cut it small enough to fit under that sucker... or perhaps, some glue, maybe carpenters glue.

I used contact cement on mine, but if you use that stuff, it will never come off.

I use tite bond super glue as it set very quickly and holds like a weld. Got to work quick and not use too much......

Ditto the contact cement route. It seems to hold rather well, but you need to reach in and scrape as much of the old cement (I think they might have used some sort of double-sided tape) out of there first. On my glove compartment door I tried double sided tape first. The stuff I tried didn't work very well and I had to remove and dismantle the glove box door to clean it all off.

For my trim I used clear silcone calking. It sticks right on there good and if you need to take it off, it is no problem. You can pull the residue off by hand and reglue if necessarry! it doesn't damage either surface.
