Super Upholstery (seats) guy in Southern California

If you're looking for someone who can re-do seats, I've got the guy.

After looking for six months all around Southern California, and getting quotes as high as $1200.00 per seat, I stumbled onto "Reese Upholstery" in Laguna Beach. As I walked in the door, he had a full set of 300SD seat covers he was making from scratch. He's been doing this kind of thing for something close to 20 years.

At any rate, he gives me the estimate and I give him the car. 8 hours later, my torn and ripped seats and badly cracked arm rest are gone, replaced by MB-Tex wonders that look they just came from the factory!!!, and, at less than half the price everyone else quoted.

Does he do custom work as well? How much was it to have both fronts re upholstered?

Yes. He does custom work. He charges $700.00 for both front seats and the arm rest on 300SD's.

Hmm... $700 for tex sounds pretty reasonable. I wonder how much he'd charge for customized leather with beefed up bolsters, ala 2003 E55 style.

This guy does carpet also. I'm telling ya, he's a wizard. he won't even BS you into buying stuff.

I was going to have him make up a set of floormats for me, but he said forget it, go to Costco, they have a good set for around $50.00. He could have gotten me for about $100.00 profit, but didn't. He's a pretty straight up guy.
