belt replacement
After putting off replacing my alternator belt it finally broke yesterday. I really was going to get to it this weekend.
Well, instead of just breaking and letting the other belt do all the work, this one took out the power steeing belt. I stopped at Firestone to see what they would charge to replace the belts ($300.00). After that I called my boss took the afternoon off went to the parts store and for $26 (x2 alternator and a power steering belt) replaced my belts. The maintainance CD provided good instructions. It took about a hour and a half. I guess I'll get to the air cleaner bracket this weekend.

$300???????????
Lets see $26 for belts leaves $274. divides by 1.5 hours= $182 per hour shop rate. I don't think I would be going back to that shop anytime soon. Dave
