Exclamation Can someone loan me a rear wheel bearing socket?

I need to replace the rear wheel bearings on one side of my 83 300d and I'd appreciate the loan of the special socket. I have all the other tools and dial indicator. Of course I would pay for postage back and forth.

Diesel 924,

If I had one, I would gladly let you borrow it.

Maybe you will have to buy the special socket and then rent it to others to help pay for itself.

I already donate my time and special tools for VW TDI's, I just figured someone else would be willing to do the same with the MB socket. Karma ya' know? I guess not.

It's not a hex it's a spanner socket.

32mm,34mm,36mm,ect....

'Hex' means 6 sided...like a bolt. It's not a hex, it has individual pins that fit into slots in the axle nut. Hence, it's not sized like a regular socket.

Sorry, haven't tackled this part yet so
I didn't know what it looked like.

Kinda new to MB's so I'm learning
as I go.

My mother used to have one but
always had it serviced at the place
she bought it at.

I was 12 at the time but since that time
I always wanted one.
I bought w123 wagon(83) on ebay for $800 and
I work 3 jobs to be able to restore it to it's
former glory.

Louis
