Question Can someone identify this part?

Can someone tell me what this is? im trying to find out the cause of my car shaking @ 40+ mph. The tie rods were replaced and the tires were balanced so im a bit stumped.

In the 126. That is called the brake support in the mercedes service manual. Track rod mount in other places.

The Items around number 13 in the photo.

The rod usually does not wear out unless your in an accident or a tow truck driver decided to place the tiedown chain on it and crank it down. item number 13 is what is usually the wear item as well as the bushings.

yes your track rod mount, the brake support as I mentioned before, look damaged and would allow the steering spindle to move forward and backwards. Have these replaced.
Second the tie rod adjusting sleeve does look bent. this woudl not necessarily show up as a shake, but more as a tire wear, or steering pull.

Go to this site and look up the suspension parts on your car, the diagrams are very good for info, but Fastlane is a lot cheaper.

It also looks like you have a leaking caliper in the last photo. Needs a caliper rebuild kit.
