Fuel Lube
Just a quick note, not a question. I recently cleaned the injectors on my OM617 and after reinstalling the fuel lines, I was getting a slight fuel leak on #'s 2 & 3 line B-nuts at the delivery valve end. After several attempts to no avail to reposition and retorque them I hit upon the idea of using an aviation product I have in my shop called "Fuel Lube" on the threads and top of the line fitting. It worked great. The product is a tan waxy substance about the consistancy of Butch Wax or Pine Rosin. It is made to apply to gaskets, seals and threads on aircraft fuel systems. It handles heat extremely well and is resistant to gasoline and jet fuel. Diesel not being as much a solvent as either one of these should be no problem. You do need to use it sparingly though as it could clog lines if too much as applied.
