Not in Bellingham as I don't get that far north too often. But if you get as far south as Seattle, I recommend European Motors Inc. in Shoreline. The Owner, Uve Odenwald, retired from MB in Stuttgart and imigrated to the US about 10 years ago and is a certified MB machanic. Very good a qhat he does and he has some beautiful MB's on his lot at very reasonable prices for those interested in new aquisitions.

I have only heard about a shop in Bellingham, but don't know anything about them. Wish I could remember their name now. They do resto work and everything, and have a web site, but I've lost the URL.
Not much help I know, but maybe you can track them down.

Bergsma Moterwerks is located in Bellingham. The owner, Kent Bergsma, is the guy behind www.**************.com, which sells DIY manuals and kits for older MB's, esp. diesels. He also does mechanical and body work at his shop. You can get his contact info. from the website.

I contacted Mr Bergsma recently via e-mail. He told me that his mercedesscource.com is now only available through e-bay and that he was no longer set up to accept walk-in customers. Also if you click on his link you get a server not available message.

Strange, I just clicked onto the site (www.**************.com), and I bought from it a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, it sounds like he's shut down his repair business, so I guess that's not an option.

Your right, I just clicked on his sight from your link and it came up OK. Must be something my firewall doesn't like.

Yeah, that's the place I was referring to. Too bad they don't do repairs anymore. Oh well.

84W123DT,
There was a MB repair shop in New Hope, Canada. I found it when I broke a CV joint almost in front of the place. How lucky could I get, I was on my way to Alaska. I had a hard time getting another axle though. I can't remember the name of the place but it was located on the main road thru New Hope. The owner/mechanic was from Germany and served his apprentice at MB. This was 12 years ago so who I don't know if the shop is still operating. P E H |

Why on earth would you go all the way to Bellingham? We're not THAT poorly serviced here. :p I have never used the service at the dealership, but the parts people are very nice at SilverStar in Surrey. I've only talked to the guy at the Vancouver dealership on the phone, but he was also very helpful (even had advice on 'other places' to go for repair). I think it was a name like Albert and Walters (or something similiar, I know the Albert was in there) for classic car repair. You could try the yellow pages, or phone the dealership.
I also met an interesting mechanic that did an inspection on a car I was selling. His name was Marvin, he's in North Van. He was supposedly Mercedes trained, also was a helicopter mechanic in the US army(shot down over Beruit, but I didn't get to see his bullet wounds :p ). Anyway, I have never used his services, but the guy that bought my car raved about him (and he seemed very knowledgable). Unfortunately his phone number was on my other (now dead) hard drive. The best I can give you is the-guy-that-bought-my-car's phone number--6047391969. His name is Robert Clark. Finally, if none of this pans out, try Diesel Auto Service - 604 460 1066. They don't work on Mercedes exclusively, but they usually have a Mercedes 'expert'. Good luck!
