Can a Leaking AC Suction Hose be fixed? (85 300D)

This is the monster hose that mates both the hi side and low side to the rear of the compressor.

The lowest rice i found was $202.00!!

Since the hose is leaking at the metal to rubber junction, is it possible to get it recrimped?

Good A/cCshops can replace the hose and recrimp the fittings. Call around. Also, a hydraulic hose fabricating shop can do it, just make sure they use barrier A/C hose. I have a hose at the A/C shop right now being fitted with new hose and ends to accommodate a parallel flow condenser that I installed on my 300SD 1984. Had to downsize the end fittings.

That price is a song and a dance compared to many of these hoses. Some of them are in the $700 - $800 range. Even if you can have it repaired, you're dealing with labor costs and a hose of questionable integrity.

Actually, most people that are repairing these hoses, including ourselves, use the modern barrier hose in the repair. MB still makes their R12 hoses out of the earlier, less quality hose.
