front tire wear and right side pull

My car tends to eat the front edges of the outside tread lugs on the frint tires. The rest of the tire is fine except that area. Additionally, the car tends to start to wander hard to the right when the steering wheel is centered at about 5-6k miles after doing an alignment at the dealer.
I have had control arms and tie rods done, they say that shocks, ball joints, etc. are all OK.
This is going to make me go through tires a lot faster than I should. I do all highway driving, and my tire life should be better than the 40k or so I will be getting.
It is also annoyuing to have to hold the wheel quite a bit to the left to go straight on any interstate with a bit of banking off in the slow lane. It tends to get worse after 5 or 6k and then is just annoying to the point where at 65 mph, if you let off of the wheel for a second, youll be in the next lane over, and let it go any longer and youre essentially drifting hard right.
I have learned from the search that some claim that MB cars will eat the outside edges of tires a bit. However, I think there must be a way to fix that.

The only thing I know seems wrong is that when I go over bumps and turn left, there is some clunk that seems to be right near the firewall, or at least I think to the rear of the tires.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,

JMH

Lightbulb

My 300D does not have outside tire wear like you mention.

I did have to replace the idler arm (?) 2 years ago in order to get a front end alighnment.

Sounds like some front end part is worn.
How is the steering box??

Have your track rod mounts checked.
