The success of the engine swap has me enthuised. I am thinking of putting a M603 or similar engine into my 89 190E, 2.6. That shuld make it a nice performing little diesel. I have performed several engine swaps in my past and even though it would be a challange, I think I could make it work.

First of all I wouldn't worry about algae, because algae requires photosynthesis to reproduce, and there is no sunlight in your fuel tank. You may, however, need to be concerned about fungi which lives in water and feeds on fuel. Bleeding the clutch is very simple and only requires a good quality oil can like one mfg by Plews. Fill it with brake fluid, connect it to the slave bleed screw by means of a hose, open the screw, and pump til you see the fluid rise in the reservoir. It is that simple.

Thanks again for the tips. See my new thread for the results. The project worked and we were amazed at what can be accomplished through the help of such a community.
