Question Prior to cleaning engine compartment . . .

Before remediating some minor fuel leaks, I am going to clean the involved engine area. Would it make sense to remove the underside shield prior to cleaning?
Thanks
Steve

PS I'll be taking care of all of the issues related to parts not intended to get subjected to cleaner/water.

After you wash it you should pop the linkages and put the proper white grease in the sockets...

Yes pulling the belly pan would be a good idea and Greg is right, the grease will be washed away and should be put back in place.

Have a great day,

As always, thanks. Just when I believed I had thought of everything, the linkage was mentioned. I'll get the hang of this someday.
Thanks again,
Steve
