air popping sound when car is jacking up
 

Hi
Over the week end , I was inspecting rear brake pads on my 1985 300D Turbo.
While the rear end was jacking up, I heard some kind of air popping sound at certain height. Is it normal or something need to be replaced. The shock absorbers have never been replaced. They are the originals. Could they be bad or something else?

Have you tried the jack on another car.

Sixto
95 S420
91 300SE
87 300SDL
83 300SD

What are you jacking the car up on.

Be sure not to jack it up on the the subframe mounts. (I did that) and pop goes the whiesel


they are round disc like looking things that are not jack supports.
