617 non turbo surges just above idle power

I have a 240d that someone put a 617 non turbo engine in. It has a 4speed manual. When I put it in 1st gear, and apply power just above idle, the engine seems to surge, or wonder on rpms. It isnt bad, just enough to make the driveline rumble. The car has been parked for 6 months. I put new filters on and ran some diesel purge. Could this be caused by lazy injector springs or something?

Thanks.

Sure it isn't the clutch slipping or something like that?

And how long/how many miles since you have started driving it again?

My 240D continues to improve after 5 months of 70+ mph driving, a can of diesel purge, two tanks of 100% biodiesel, several more tanks of 20% biodiesel, and two changes of Amsoil synthetic oil. Point being, it may take more than just a can of Diesel Purge to make it purr again.
