soundbite of nailing?

does any one have a sound bite of nailing. I have read many descriptions and am not sure if the sound i am hearing is nailing or not. it is more noisy at idle than with a little higher RPM it goes away. from reading on here this seems to be normal for a high milege engine (256,xxx miles).

Hmmm, interesting question, but I am not sure that a sound bite will do you any good. It seems the sound of nailing is like a normal diesel, only louder. The variables of recording the nailing and playing it back would diminish any benefit.

Not in my case. It was undoubtable and obvious clear sound. It's like a nail being driven into a piece of oak with a 16oz hammer (Almost as loud too). I know some forms of nailing can be difficult to find, but others are like a sore thumb.

If I had a way to record a sound clip of my car, I would have done it weeks ago. It could have simplified many questions I have asked here.
