climate control
The climate control is no longer working in my parent's 83 300D. Is it possible to swap it with the unit from a 1985 300TD (the dead car)?
The unit in the 300D does nothing. No fan, etc. The car has a new heater fan put in last winter. Anything else that I should look for? Thanks in advance.

My 300D did the same thing to me. First, check the fuse. it takes a red one. The fuses to the fans are notorious for blowing on these, and Performance sells an upgrade fuse holder just for the climate control fan for this reason. I now don't use the high fan setting and haven't had any problems since. If this doesn't fix it, you should be able to use the 95s unit. Be careful removing the wood though, it is delicate.

You might want to pull the radio out to make pulling out the wood panel and climate control unit easier.
