Perfectly aligned 300D still pulls to the right...
 

I had my 85 300D perfectly aligned, and I replaced the Ball Jointsa nd some other front end components. I watched the guy, who I know is good, but not as good as Joe Hansen of Hansen's Bear Safety in Delaware, use the new Laser Alignmnet machine with individula sensors on the each tire align it.

I know the car is aligned, but it still pulls. Is this the so called "Radial Drift" whre you must swap the front two tires?

Or is this steering gear box wear?

The only thing I dont like abou the the new shop is that the guys dont do a Road Test, which Hansen always does....

I beg to differ, a perfectly aligned car would have taken the driving condition into consideration and dealt with a tire pull either first or during the alignment through custom application of the alignment criteria.

No such thing as a perfect alignment! Alignments are only as good as the guy doing the alignment & the calibration of that equiptment.

But in the real world the person doing the alignment must know the BRAND of the car & it's characteristics on the road. Also if you have a LOT of road crown then the right side must get MORE caster than the left side. Also sometimes the cars level/ride-height can change the alignment figures.

Also IF the rear end isn't 100% square(most aren't) then the alignment THRUST angle can change how straight the car is going.

OF course tire pull will cause all kinds of problems. JUST swap the 2 front tires to see.

Brake caliper drag on the right side?

Could be tire pull due to a belt misalignment or other tire defect.

Swap the front tires side to side and see if it makes a difference.

Yeah, could be a tire problem: swapping front tyres solved this on my car some years ago.
