Vibrating fuel gauge

All,

While driving in today the fuel gauge began to vibrate while below half tank. The needle vibrates rather quickly from it's current reading to empty and back to it's currunt reading. I searched the theads with no luck at all. Any thoughts out there? 1995 E300D with 175k on it.

I posted instructions for this job not too long ago. You sure you didn't see it in your search??

Thumbs up

I did not see it, nor did much of anything show up in Search.

I'll give it a shot this weekend.

Thanks,

Haven't seen this topic come up a whole lot. Let us know how you do.

mine used to do that when I first bought it. Started working fine after I put a few thousand miles on it.
