LubroMoly Diesel Purge in any parts stores? - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I've been looking around in the local (Portland, OR) parts stores for LubroMoly's Diesel Purge but so far I haven't found anyone that carries it. It seems that so far I have only been able to find it on-line but the shipping on the product almost runs as much as the product does. I also don't want to wait a week or more for the stuff to arrive.
I'm trying to solve a engine noise problem that appears to be the injectors so I want to try Diesel Purge before tearing the injectors apart and clean them.
Is it only possible to buy the stuff on-line?
Is there another product that I can buy in a parts store without going on-line that is just as good?

I'm with you on this one. I tried search. It seems finding a place to purchase the diesel purge is a difficult job and no one knows the answer, except by ordering it to be shipped to you.

Same in the San Fran area. I've always had to order it (although I'll bet the dealer has it if you are willing to pay for it.)

I easily found it in Eugene. My ex indie mech sold it at is shop. He sold his business. Im sure they still carry it. He was from germany too. Loved the 240D.

If you are will to drive to Wenatchee, WA, there is an import parts store that carries LuborMoly Products. I buy Diesel Purge for less than $6 per can...

I bought Diesel Purge (Lubromoly) on-line from bmaparts.com for $4.50 and all filters at excelent price. Super service. They also have parts.

Yes, they sell to the general public. It is an auto parts store with an emphasis on import cars. I also buy oil and fuel filters there.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm in Portland almost every day so I can swing by that place. Since it looks like a distributor, do they sell to the general public?

I use a company called German Auto Parts out of Atlanta Ga. They carry all Repair Parts etc.. Their # is 1 800 241 9900 (nationwide # ) local Ga # 1800 222 9900 . They Have the products you are looking for. I use Quite a bit of the Purge it works wonders ..... Ask for Rodney when you call Ext # 703 .............If they wont sell to you then go to "The Benz Store" also in Atlanta Ask for Ken ..They sell nationwide also .Ask for their Catalog 1 800 631 4170 Hope this Helps Pete

Price is great but the shipping is steep if I would only buy one can. I want to make sure this will cure the problem I have before buying more cans of the stuff. If it doesn't, I may have an expensive problem that I won't want to keep the car.

Just bought two cans of the stuff at Halsey Import Parts today. I'll see if it will help my noise problem.
