gas transmission in diesel?
I can get an 80 gas mercedes transmission out of a 116 body. Will it work in my 1979 300SD? Mine slips in 4th gear.

im not sure if that trany will work or not, they used different gearing in the diesels, the diesels also have a steel rod instead of a bowden cable, so the gas version will need to be checked for that.
i have a good used transmission out of a 79, 116 300sd that i would sell resonably if you need it. email me if your interested
