test for clogged brake hoses?

does anyone have a test for checking if the flexible brake hoses are clogged without taking them off?

i suspect mine are clogged because, in an attempt to bleed the brakes, no fluid came out of the nipples even with a mityvac.

OR could this be because my wheel cylinders are filled with crud? is there an easy way to check for this too?

rodsod Have some one push down on the brake pedal and then crack the bleeder. If nothing comes out loosen the steel line that screws into flexible line. If brake fluid comes out the line is plugged or the caliper is full of crud.

It's more likely that the line is plugged though.

Good luck.

P.S. wear safty glasses when pressure bleeding!

Take the bleeder nipple all the way out and see if you get any flow. The narrow passageway in the bleeder itself can easily clog. Happened to me.
