320 CDIs Everywhere!
I just got back from a quick vacation to Paris. I saw several of the new 320 CDIs. Some were even being used as taxis. Even more interesting, I saw a S320 CDI and a 320 CDI mini-coupe - that's right, two doors and tiny. I also saw several 220 (or 240-can't remember) CDIs and some other 220 or 240 diesels that were late 90's or early 2000 models. I can't believe the variety of diesel MBs I saw. Some M-Wagons were also diesels! They even had a smaller version of the M-Wagon designated as an "A" something.
MBs aside, even most of the other cars were diesels. I saw a Jeep Cherokee diesel and a Land Rover diesel. I wish we could get these cars over here!! Scott

This is a little off subject but I even saw a "McLaren" edition Mercedes roadster at the dealership over there. That car was NICE. It had two stainless steel sidepipes coming out the sides of the car on the bottom near the front fenders. I think the price tag was somewhere around 450,000 Euros. Scott

I spent the summer in France this year. It was hard to find cars that were not diesel. It got to the point where it was natural for all cars to 'clatter'. Even the Honda, Toyota and Nissan cars over there are diesels. Diesel is about $1.20 a gallon cheaper so it is easy to understand the prevalence of diesels.
