Urban Legend??
For years I have heard rumors that Mercedes-Benz (Daimler Chrysler) will trade you a new Benz if yours has a million miles or more. Is there any truth to this??

I've never even heard that one as the rumor. No Way.

MB did that with one in 1979 during their great diesel search. I believe it was a '69 220D that was driven 400miles per day.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. |

I know where there is a car just like the first pictured in that link. It is all there and seems to have little rust. The interior pieces are all there but it smells a bit dank. I checked into buying the car but the owners wanted to restore it.

If I'm not mistaken MB only did this if
the person was the original owner. Ford of Europe had a similar program, when your were the original owner and your car was 30 years old,Ford would give you a brand new car. Louis. |
