Got a reply from the seller to some questions prompted by information from this thread. Think I might pass on this one. Too many red flags going up.

AT $3500/4000 it is a good buy. Figure a Grand for ac system repair. Probably require dash remova and new control box... if its a solid car otherwise.

This car just popped back up the radar at 'best offer over $4,000'.

Course, I don't have cash burning a hole in my pocket anymore. Oh well.
