Decoding FastLane Fuel Hose Products

My basic question is: What part and/or size do I order to get the fuel hose at the fuel pre-filter on the typical diesel in my inventory below?

Then, regarding the way hose is sold on FastLane:

What units are being used to specify hose?
As in "3.5 x 2mm", "5 x 2.5mm" and so on. What is the first number? How long is the hose being purchased? Why is it so expensive?

While I'm at it, what part from this list would you order for the injection return line braided hose? There are (at least) two choices.

I'm looking under 1984 Mercedes 300SD, Fuel Delivery, Fuel Hose.

Since you're spending money, don't feel guilty about using up some of Phil's time. Call and ask.

Concur with Rick.

Phil is really great at helping out on whatever you need including emailing schematics if that is what you need to figure out the part you need.

High cost is probably due sales by the meter... The dealer is like 8.50 a meter for the return line or something like that.

To answer your question.

Hose comes off a roll- so the vendor will sell it by the foot or meter. 5mmX2mm. That's simply 5mm OD , 2mm ID.

Hope I've got that right today. Not all MB hose is braided. I purchased some new hose to the fuel tank. It was stamped MB with a partnumber, but was regular. Much better than what it replaced, Floyd's pretty good =)
