Yes indeed, the early 123 cars, through the '79 model year I think, used a York type compressor mounted in that location. These were GREAT air coditioners in their day. The York was simple and cheap to replace. If you are one to stay with R12, they would be great units today. If you are one that believes in converting away from R12, don't try it with a York. Been there, done that, they won't hold up with the higher pressures of 134. Have a great day, |
