What is your dream fleet of MB Cars?

Since I was born in 68, and since I do not have a convertible - I'd have to get a 68 280SL Pagoda.

I'd have to get a 6.9 monster gasser in some flavor

Well hell, this is a "dream" list so why not a 300 gull wing

Don't ask me why, but I really like the 1999 C43 (in Europe they atually made a handfull of C55s! - so put that on the list - who cares if it is nose heavy!)

Just so I could look so miami vice - an all white factory AMG widebody 560SEC from the late 80's

500E hammer?

Of course now you have a "65" series AMG in the CL and S class and soon to be SL..... of so many choices - but I'd have to see what 600+ lb ft of torque feels like

I'd want a SMART car as well - I think they are cool. I might have to have Braubus dork with it though

and lastly some sort of MB truck that could tow a race car!

(edit - more)

2001 CLK DTM Race Car

Oh what the hell, and a CLK GTR!

20 123's in a pole barn. One for each occasion. I especially want a flawless red one.

I like manuals, autos, 240's and 300's

It's better to want what you have, than have what you want.

Unless of course, your "wants" include Mercedes-Benz.

1966 280 SL - both tops and in red, of course
1983 300TD - 4spd manual, maroon/palomino (hmmm...)
1979 300SD - in midnight black with a 'kick-ass' R12 a/c and über dark limo tint on the back windows.
'80 era 307D with an OM617.952 engine

Heckflosse finbody diesels...... all standard shift with rare sunroof option. Ooooops, this has already been done as fleet vehicles - back in olden days when MB owned the international taxi-cab industry worldwide. Its been said these little diesels would be started in the morning then run all day long for 20 years at least.

I'd want one of those impossibly rare 1930's 260D's.

A 170Ds

I already have my Ponton 190Db

A fintail 200D

I have my Euro 240D

A W115 220D

And for long highway stints, a 300SDL

I already have my dream fleet! I guess I'm one of those lucky ones who want what they already have.

I like big cars - 540K for when it's just me and the wife, 770 when the kids come along, 300Sc to ride along the coast, 300d for nights on the town, 300GD when there isn't a road, 600 pullman when I don't feel like driving, 300SDL when I do

Was a LWB Diesel W140 offered outside the US?

What a great question...

I would say a pristine 78-79 300 SD - so much chrome, so tossable ... and

a pristine 68 300 SEL 6.3 - such beautiful lines, I love the classic look of the 108/109s, and I'd love to have an M100 "just 'cause" . . . AND

a S400 CDI - 250 horsepower V8 diesel ... gets the same mileage as my car but with twice the horsepower. . .

oh, and that probably mythical diesel SL if it ever is put into production

but I'd still keep my not pristine but really quite nice 82 SD as my driver.

My dream list (will limit this to M-B's ):

My '85 300D
'85 300TD wagon with 3rd row seat
W115 240D 4 speed with manual everything (ideally including a manual sunroof)
an early '60's 190D with the 4 speed column shift manual
Unimog with an OM617 turbo dropped in
Ideally, except the Unimog, all of these cars would have the OEM Euro spec velour cloth seats (the 'Mog would need vinyl in order to clean up mud easily).

I'm sure I could come up with more...and I'm not gonna mention the mystery car 'cause I don't want someone to steal my idea and implement it before I get a chance

Ok, you asked, so here I go.
1978-80 W116 300SD (teal on blue mb-tex if they have that)
1981 W126 300SD (mine, silberdistel/green leather)
1984 W126 300SD with manual transmission dropped in (dark green on palamino)
1985 W126 300SD (black on black leather)
1987 W126 300SDL (black on black leather)
1984 W123 300DT, black on black mb-tex or leather, with the black hubcaps with the emblem from an old 240D and tinted windows, a corporate W123 of sorts.
Throw in a 2003 S600, the girls like those, champagne ext, tan ext.
And while you're at it, how about a 2004 S400 CDI, same colors as the S600.
As you can tell, I like black on black, and matching ext. and int. colors, and the OM617s.
