Fog Light, and turn signal (1981 W126 U.S. sealed beam version)
My fog light on the drivers side will not come on. I thought it was a bad bulb. After getting the plastic light surrounder thingy off (breaking a minor part of it in the process), I replaced the bulb, put everything back the best I could due to the minor damage, and it still would not work. I got it to work by tapping behind the fog light a couple of times. But if I turn the lights off and on again, it will go out again. Now, what could possibly be causing this, and how would I fix this thing? I'm kinda wary about DIY projects now. If I screwed up something as simple as that, what would I do with something major?
And concerning the turn signal, it will not operate as a running light at night when the lights are on, but will operate as a turn signal, and I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that there is only one bulb in the assembly. So what's up with that too? -Joe
