Its alive!

An 84 300sd followed my youngest son home a couple weeks ago. Gold, dk brown leather, 260K miles, last run in 98 as far as anyone can tell. Bad rust on pass side where rear wheel arch meets the rocker. We're going to grab some parts for the two drivers we have and part out the rest.

Yesterday rigged a 1 liter coke bottle feul tank and filled it with fresh fuel, removed and drained the main filter. Hand pumped fresh fuel thru the system. Jumped it and started the beast up. Moved it back and forth in the driveway.

Parts I'm keeping are the passenger mirror, some interior wood, wheels, front window motors, ... Probably keep the tranny as the 83's is tired. Sorry guys but the Bosch Euro headlights will find a new home on my 84.

Car had 17 wheels stashed in it, 9 in the trunk and 8 in the back seat. All 15 hole late 80s style. 4 14 inchers for the 190 and the rest are 15 inchers for the 124s, some real nice and some road rashed.

I'm making parts available to fellow diesel forumites before hitting ebay or the parts page. If there is something you are looking for let me know and I'll check it out. May take a little time to get to it, but I will.

Jerry
