Strange rattle only on big rh sweepers at speed!
Tried a search but no help on this one. My 300SD has a subdued rattle that only occurs on sweeping right hand curves at or near 65mph. Kind of sounds like a loose pad in a caliper but checked that of course. Only occurs on rh turns at speed. I've checked and rechecked front end parts. Car runs true, no pulls, recently had it aligned at the stealer after replacing the tie rod ends and some other parts. Can you guys give me some direction? I'm scratching my head on this one. Thanks.

Make sure to check all of your exhaust system mounting doh-nuts. A broken doh-nut can make for some strange rattles.

my 115 made unsubdued rattle on left sweeps at almost
any speed. replaced lots of right front end rubber and the lower ball joint to no avail. the right engine mount looked good, good color and texture and it measured less than 1/32 lower than a new one. but it was broken and replacing it smoothed everything out. don |

Found the problem. It was the right side lower ball joint. Check and double check the front end parts. Thanks for the help.
