"bigbabbo" has ME suspended!!!

"bigbabbo" complained to ebay that I changed my phone number so he could not call me all hours of the night or day and they suspended my account because the phone I now use for the account is a message-only number.

This guy is pissed at ME because HE didn't ship an item I paid for (by his own admission in the neg feedback he left) then waited for him to get around to NOT shipping it and NOT answer ANY emails until four days after I filed a complaint with paypal. So HE'S pissed?

Not sure how, but he seems to be able to get ebay to do anything for him (like getting me suspended).

Also, ebay won't let me "correct" the phone # until I "resolve" "the issue"?

Their wording:

"Users whose registered status is blocked must resolve any outstanding complaints on file before proceeding. Please resolve these issues and try again"

They give no way to "resolve" them as I can't even log on. After 4 years of selling parts and such on ebay, and developing an HONEST 575 feedback rating, this SOB has ME suspended for paying for something he never sent!

Brother says Homeland Security would be interested in any emails he sends with the word te****ist in it.

I would have a lawyer write to EBay.... and explain just what you did here....
Or, go the same route and get him suspended... then he might work with you to get both of you back on EBay...

a WARNING message no to buy from him.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement, this is REALLY depressing to me and I'm not a person who gets "depressed".

For four years, I've sold parts and just "stuff" on ebay, had an occasional non-paying bidder and the like, but for the most part, people are honest and just want what they bid on. My feedback pretty much says that I send people what they pay for fast and advertise items as they genuinely are. Then I bid on a few MB parts that "seem" to be a "good buy". Little did I know what it would do to the character I've built.

This person has taken 4 years of work from me and he must not be thinking rationally if he thinks this is the "end of me".

To tell the truth, what he has done is quite liberating now. What is the saying, "beware the man with nothing to lose"?

Problem is, I'm not much of a "vengeance" type. Sorry everyone for the rantings, I'm torn between my inner self always wanting to avoid conflict and another part that wants to pursue this.

Not sure what to do at this point, but thanks everyone for at least listening and comiserating.

whats your e-bay name? tell us and everyone here who has an e-bay accout will vouch for you by e-mailing ebay and then well also flood 'bigbabbo' with porn related spam!

If I were you I would make no more post and seek a good attorney, if you can show loss of income you then have a case not only against him but also Ebay ,they ain't God..........

I haven't emailed him, called him or contacted him since paypal refunded me. Not sure why he sends me this "bogus" offer now.

Now...., there might be other people out there doing something, but I have no idea what and have no control over it.

BTW, a person who, by their own admission, doesn't ship parts when someone has PAID for them, CERTAINLY has "other designs" in this email than sending someone parts or $'s for no reason. I have not responded and don't plan to.

BTW, I'm actually batting about 750 with MB parts ordering now! Got two different parts orders within DAYS of paying for them.

Rusty at *************** sent a few suspension components I ordered on Monday that I paid for with paypal, arrived on THURSDAY! This is with UPS ground, NOT 2nd day air.

Importedcarparts.com sent out some more suspension components I also ordered from them on Monday, received on Friday.

Both of the above orders were well packed and premium components. No cracked protectors, no wrong colors.

So, I complain too much about this one guy and thought I should give kudos to:

Mercedesshop (received the right parts, fast and without hassle - I'll support them with business as much as possible as they support this forum)

I guess somehow he's feeling the drop in business.

Maybe he thinks that if he doesn't clear this up he
will be loosing business,and I'm sure he also
realizes that word of mouth can do more damage
than being a ********* and being just plain NASTY
to people.

Yesterday I was going trough his feedback and
I noticed that on some occasions he posts a nasty
follow up to feedback left for him,while posting nice
feedback for the buyer.
What an IDIOT

We live in a democratic country.
We all have the right to take our business
somewhere else,if we don't like the service.
Now that is the best way to get back at him.

Well I'd hope so, that would mean people are going to someone else to buy their parts and that's a GOOD thing!

He's probably thinking this will die down and I'll fade away and he can go back to (dishonest) business as usual. But getting ME suspended from ebay for HIS dishonesty does deserve more than a gentlemans slap. Never been much of a vengeance type though, so he may be right.

Why is he offering you money or parts when the problem is the Ebay suspension ? I would tell him that you are not stopping what he calls nonsense or dealing with him until he gets the Ebay situation completely fixed... and issues you an Abject Apology.

Exactly! If he'd fix what HE did to ME for being stupid enough to buy parts from him, I could give a rat's a** about the whole deal after that (except that I do want others to know what they're getting into when they deal with this person).

I don't want his filthy money and I don't need the parts now (while waiting for paypal to refund me for the parts bigbabbo didn't send, I had to give up and buy the motor mounts from a local store).

It's not like the guy is serious about "making it right" anyway, according to my atty (yes, I've finally talked to my aunts atty, he's into MB's) the guy is attempting to entrap me into performing some type of email extortion.

Well, for all the headaches and pain this guy has caused, if nothing else comes of it and my ebay account is done for, I sure hope I can help keep others from suffering the same fate!

I would guess that most of us on this forum have symtathy for your situation as we do when another member looses a job or blows up the engine in his SL.

But after reading the whole thread I'll say this that if you have assets worthy a look that airing this problem might not be the best of ideas from a legal standpoint.It would be interesting to hear from one of the Attorney members .As I see it there are legal issues here.An opinion might also help other members in similar future post........

Although NOT related to the above, I was struck by the similarities

I was talking with my brother who does a lot of ebay transactions last night. He had a similar reply froma seller about some defective CDs ( could't read the files). My brother called him and said the CDs were defective, please send another copy ( we're talking under a $1 for the blamk and mailing) The seller gets real condescending and tries to tell my brother how to read the files. My brother has been computer literate since 1964, and there is not much he doesn't know. Anywhay the guy changes his contact numbers and files complaints with ebay against my brother! Does that sound familiar?
My brother did a little research-following threads on the sellers feedback, and then tracing thru those transactions. Seems this guy gets a new ID every 4 months, has a few bad transactions and changes ID. He sells enough that ebay makes money off him, so they really don't care.
Its true that there are many good ebayer out there, but be careful with the crooks!
