I make my own homebrew fuel additive by mixing a bunch of products together. Recipe as follows:
8 parts Howes Lubricator Diesel Treat 4 parts Stanadyne Performance Formula 4 parts two-cycle oil 1 part FPPF Fuel Power Mix together in gallon jug and dispense into used Amsoil 8oz two-cycle oil bottles, 4oz each for summer use, 6oz during winter. I make up 12-15 bottles worth and distribute to the fleet. Does it work? No idea. However I have never had a fuel related problem, water, etc. FWIW....... RT |
Two cycle oil won't hurt anything. It will improve the lubricity of your fuel. I wouldn't go out and purchase T.C. oil for this purpose though. If you want to lubricate the pump and injectors just use a widely available and inexpensive diesel fuel additive.
