Bloody Oil Pressure Gauge

Hey guys and gals as some of you know I'm currently restoring my mom's (which will be mine) 82 300D Turbo. The oil pressure gauge started leaking a long time ago so i just pluged the outlet to the gauge line with a bolt, but now I want to put a new gauge in and was wondering where I could find the cheapest or if anybody makes an electric one that would bolt in no problem because after I put a new carpet in this car I dont want to have an oil leak inside the car. Thanks

Jugo,

Why not replace the gage with a OEM that doesn't leak? You might be able to find a used one at low cost.

Look for a used cluster of guages, not real cheap, but a lot nicer on the wallet than a new set. There really isn't anything else that will screw into that line even with an adapter...... could replace the whole thing from the filter housing I suppose.

I wasnt thinking of something screwing into the line rather not having the line at all have an electric gauge in the cluster like later model benz's. and have a sending unit on the engine somewhere.

Hello Jugo Driver#1
Aftermarket parts-R-us store or race car shop.
Transducer with dash LCD would work fine.

Have a great day.
