The front seats are the last to go, took the pictures now cause the seats will block the view.

Good job BR. I have yet to do an interior job like this. On a scale of 0-10 with 10 being equivalent to removing/re-installing a transmission where do you put this one on the diy'er scale?
|
It's hard to compare the two, but I will try and help you.
If you are going to pull the entire cabin out, then there is alot of parts to keep track of. If you organize it as I did, with one box for the dash, one for the seats etc. etc. , then the work itself is not hard. You need to know how the trim parts are attached to prevent from breaking them and have patience. You will be caring out many dozens of tasks and at times it feels endless. In all it took me a long day to pull the interior out of each car and 2 1/2 long days to put it back. If you decide to take it on, I will be happy to help. Don |
Wow, looks great!
Do you (or anyone else) know if those sun visors with the vanity mirrors will fit in a 123? |
Although I did not check it for you, it is my guess that they are to wide for the 123. In addition to the visor, you would need a wire harness to power the lights in the 126 visors, which feeds the power to the lights via the visor clip.
I will measure the width later on and let you know. Don Quote:

looks good man!! To those wondering i'm sure you can attest with me that this isn't really a *fun* job(as some repairs are). I know there were several times i wanted to light the interior on fire and walk away when i did it, its more tedious than anything. Yours came out looking significantly nicer than mine did, did you gain any squeaks/rattles? I lost two and gained one.....so an improvement i suppose lol.

I took my time and made sure all the parts were properly connected. Pleased to say lost all the squeaks I had before I started! I forced my hands into the tiny areas and didn't focus on the cuts I was causing and kept towels nearby to swipe the blood. I clot quickly so it wasn't like a horror movie. My wife however disagrees and shakes her head at me, wondering if I like pain or am just plain insane. My attitiude was... it needed to get done and I was doing it! Thank's for the positive comments, its nice to share with people who care. Don |
