1983 240 for sale....maybe.....
My Dad is thinking of selling his 1983 240D.
He is getting up there in age and has been complaining about the clutch and his leg over the past week or so. He is looking into a 300D or SD. The car has appo 96,000 miles and is in excellent shape. No rust, paint is perfect and the interior, with the exception of a cigarette burn(made by him) is also perfect. The car is gold with Palomino int. AC blows cold, etc...... It needs nothing. Would $4500.00 seem unreasonable, considering it's mileage and condition. It has a new oil cooler, glow plugs, alignment and new tires. And tons of service receords from the original owner. I was the 2nd owner. Thanks

Wow! A 240D with under 100K?! Price sounds good to me. Wish I was in the running for another car and lived closer

These cars seem to do well on Ebay. I bought my 240D with 152K miles on Ebay for $4200. Cosmetically it's near perfect too and mechanically it only needed smaller items. Your price seems very reasonable, almost too generous.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking about putting it on ebay, seeing as how some of them do fetch a high price, but that is a bit of a pain I figure ,if you don't do it for a living.
I figure I'll let this post float around for awhile and see if a fellow member might know of someone. Thanks
