I've got a '71 220d with a bad window regulator. I have been sliding the window up and down by hand for the past two years, which is a real pain, not to mention very unsightly with no door panel. Anyway, I ordered the new regulator about a year and a half ago, but the piece didn't look like the one that came out, so I gave up.

Now that it is cold again, I have been trying to get the thing to work. I posted on another list and Rusty told me I would need three parts from Mercedes. Well, they are here, and it still doesn't make sense. These parts are the new window crank (which I indeed do need to finish the job) but I still don't know how the new regulator fits in where the old one once bolted in. Has anyone ever had to do this upgrade? I can post some pics if it will help. . .
