Head Bolt Wrench Size? 617.950 engine
I tried the search feature, but couldn't quickly find the answer. What size wrench is needed to remove the head bolts on a 617.950 engine. I'm headed to sears tonight, and thought I'd pick up the right tool if they happen to have one. Is it a 12-point internal wrench? I think it is, but don't have the bolts in front of me right now.

Just to be safe you had better look on your engine.... there are two style heads on the bolts I think....
Post whether you have hex or 12 point.. There are rules having to do with hardened washers and updated head gasket.... |
Wrench size
I'm at work right now, so don't have the engine in front of me, but I'm pretty sure they are 12 pt. internal. If it helps, the serial # on the engine is 617.95012008807.
If someone knows the correct size(s) I'd like to get one tonight, so I can start taking the head off. Steve |
617 head bolts require a 12MM tri-square driver.
