Strange noise from Climate control

I am getting a electrical-shorting/ clickety noise at idle. I have traced the noise down to the climate controls box. Anyone have a spare or an idea as to what is causing this?

Texas,

Are you talking about a noise coming from the mechanism under the hood or the unit under the dash?

under the dash

under the dash area. It sounds like the unit that controls the blow speeds and the climate is shorting out and it keeps making a strange shorting clicking sound..

Darn! I wish I could help. My cruise control (?) unit under the hood makes a funny "small electric motor" running sound when the key is on. I don't think it did it all along. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the bulbs I put in the REVERSE sockets... I dunoo...

My guess is that the aspirator motor is bidding adieu.

That thing is easy to test - unplug it and see if the clicking continues.
