Timing Chain Replacement For 95' S350???

How often, and how can you tell the timing chain needs to be changed on 95' S350? Prices & time?

General rule for the 4 and 5 cyl diesels is 6-8 degrees of stretch..... its probably not any different for your 350SD. Measure degrees of stretch by setting the engine at TDC and then examining the mark alligning camshaft to stantion for how many degrees of stretch it might be off.
