A 1976 Mercedes 300D, W115 body. Working AC, working power windows. Everything works well. Four minor rust spots (confirmed minor, took up all the mats and floors are solid. Stack of papers: always serviced at dealer since 1976. One owner. 190,000 miles. Needs rear seat repadding, and maybe some better front seats. Color is two tone on the outside: doors and body are tan, but the top is brown. It looks very sharp. Switching from the ugly bundt cakes the original owner replaced to the old hubcaps and steel wheels. Probably going to fix the rust professional, have repainted, and use it when I am out of Basic Training in the Marines (if I have a chance)

PS: Starts easily in 18 degree weather. Awesome!

Probably a better handling car than most 123's that always seem to suffer worn ball joints and sloppy steering box. Btw, here's the story on crummy 114/115 upholstery..... back in '72, i think it was, some crybaby discovered that glue holding horsehairs together was highly flamable - so for "safety's sake" they produced flabby seats that always cave from lack of glue and padding. If you ever find pre-'72 114/115 at any junkyard with interior intact, you will notice its got much more massive uphostery, almost as good as the 108's of late 1960's.
