240D for me?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=6329&item=2448865216

I'm not one for shades of red but I like this color combo. I would have pulled the trigger if it had power windows.

Burgundy I like, fire truck red I can't stand! That color scheme is pretty nice, the car surely has the KISS principle down. I'm almost tempted to get a turbo W116, I like the W126s but I have to do some more research.

Gee Whiz guys... you talk like new paint is not available in your state....
A nice machine like that... well cared for... probably available for a couple of thousand dollars...
My wagon had electric windows and only two worked... and if they quit in the down position when you are out somewhere with packages in your car then you have to go home and fix the problem RIGHT THEN...
Give me manual windows anytime ( but YOU could change out to electric if you wanted, same with the auto trans.... ) ...
Buy hey, if yall want to be that picky about not buying what I now consider my future parts cars... OK WITH ME...... LOLOLOLOL

1980 240d blah color exterior (future SNOWBERRY WHITE)

Paint is available but with patience so is the car in the color of my preference.

I shuttle my kids around and I like to have control over the windows without getting out of the car. I also like to roll down all windows a couple of inches so the car cools faster. 81 SD 290K, 83 SD TMU, 87 SDL 265K and 91 SE 154K ... I've only had to fix one sliding jaw. I'll take my chances with power windows.

What I didn't say is that it's worth $1000 to me to have a car with proper AC controls.

And I'll thank you not to call my potential daily ride your next parts car

All in fun, lmg.

White, yes. MT, no. To get out of our neighbornood there's a mile long stretch of road with 6 traffic lights each on it's own schedule.

I rode up to a mountain resort in the Philippines in a 123 200 AT with a wannabe rally driver. Nothing could keep up. My cousin pulled a grab handle off the roof in one turn That little engine had no problem corresponding with the wheels through a slushbox.

Go for it. Just don't plan to source a replacement seat cover from a junkyard - there aren't many around of that color.

Wow, that's exactly like what I want. Actually, Diesel Power's old 240D Euro is the same color scheme I would kill for.
