Does your fuel gauge twitch? Or any other fuel sender problems, read this!

I was writing away on the fuel sender swap DIY page and decided to check prices to find a killer deal that I just had to share with everyone. While I hate to take any business away from Fastlane I just couldn't believe the steal I got on the new fuel sender as almost everyone else wants double! It is still a quality VDO unit, but prices in at a minute $59, I just had to order it that instant especially with free shipping! Remember to get a new fuel sender seal as well.

Merry Christmas All,

Thanks for that...I just pulled one from a car I am scavenging parts off. I will clean it up as per your instructions and sock it away. I assume the seal you talked about replacing is the one where it threads into the top of the tank. Thanks again, nice write up.

That is the correct seal, thanks I liked doing that write up probably took less time than any of them.

Hi Jeff,

I see you like BMA. Great outfit. Ever since you are touting the fuel sender repair, my reserve warnig light turned on "permanently". Is the level sensor part of it?

Correct, quite irony you say that because mine was doing the opposite. Actually where the tank is right now it should have came on several gallons ago, however the little contact somehow became unconnected so I no longer have a reserve light. Oh well I won't have that problem a week or so from now. Thanks again for telling me about bma Shane. While their site can get a little annoying loading, it is worth checking when you find deals like that! Perhaps for everyone's future reference I'll open up the new unit and take a few pictures.
