The mercedes headstone

actually this is the truth and quite sad and I wouldnt joke about it...that headstone is on the grave of a young boy who died of a disease, and the reason it was chosen is it was that boys dream to have a Mercedes someday, I believe it happened in the New York Long Island region, and though I pride myself on having a good memory this is one bit of Mercedes trivia I wish I didnt remember...

I'm Asian also...

but I have no desire to have a 300D headstone! Anyway, I sure do have a goofy memory at times. Now if I could only remember how to get this box of Volvo parts back into a running Volvo...

Finally got some snow, so here's two shots of my frigid car. Had no trouble starting, but I decided not to drive it in this stuff and risk damage!

front ... and ...

... butt, featuring the new chrome plate frame I got for Christmas, and spent an hour trying to install before realizing my plate mount was on upside down (who put it on upside-down, I don't know ... )

Last years picture looks the same as this year, eh?

82 degrees here today so I didn't see the need to take another picture. It looks the same as last year at this time.

Trees are full of ripe oranges and grapefruit. Strawberry plants produce about a quart each every 90 days.

NO SALT is wasted on our roads. We use it on Marguarita glasses instead.

I wish I could send you guys up North some warmer weather.

Here is a picture of my E300D in Maryland. Snow causes major panic in the DC area.

Hello,

I just viewed your 300SDL pictures, the car looks great but the engine just blew me away!!! Its extremely clean

I want to do this on our E300D, can you tell me how you achieved the great results.

When I cleaned my engine, I used some Gunk Grease stuff, scrubbed the dirt with a brush and hosed it down. I then applied engine finish spray when dry.
I didnt achieve a clean engine like yours, you must have put a lot of elbow grease into achieving these results!

Last week's snow in Western Michigan.

Drove the Suburban to get around, cleaned the SDL to show how deep the snow was.

Best Regards,
Jim

E300D,

If you look at his sig more closely, you will see that Goldenbear just had a new head installed 3K miles ago. I am guessing that he used that as a (Golden (pardon the pun) ) opportunity to get things cleaned up good.

I too would love to have an engine that looks like that. And with a #14 head, someday I just might
