Unhappy Sad sight

Went to the local "Pull a part" wrecking yard saturday with a friend, and saw a very sad sight. They had an old late 70's 300D, half stripped of it's useful parts. The thing looked like it was in good condition when they brought it in. No dents, rust or even broken windows. Bummer

Hey, that's just what I need! My 240D has great mechanicals, but is rusting to bits. Too bad you're that far away from me.

Wanna see a reaallly sad sight...... arguably the finest and most easily maintained classic roadcars ever built that have been abandonned and left to die, never to see the road again.

Aughhh! That's (choke) horrible! A gullwing? Unbearable.

This is why I don't ever want to get rid of my Benzes. I am afraid they will end up in the junk yard. What a nightmare...Brrr..

NO! WE MUST COMMIT OURSELVES TO SALVAGING OUR BABIES! THEY MUST STAY IMMORTAL!

I am done selling my Benzes. Too many heartbreaks.

'till death do us part. And even then I will have them restored.

My guess is the Gullwing is fully operative, somebody's dailly driver...... a "grunge car' - you can see where headlight was added to make it street legal. Beauty is NOT skin deep on these cars.
